Petra Petrović completed her Undergraduate Degree in Chemistry (2019) and Graduate Degree in Chemistry (major: Research; Analytical and Organic Chemistry; 2021) at the Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb, defending her thesis under the title "Suitability of gold nanoparticles for analysis of sterigmatocystin by SERS spectroscopy" under the mentorship of prof. Ph.D. Snežana Miljanić.
Since October 2021, she has been employed as an assistant at the Department of Analytical Chemistry at the Chemistry Department of the Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb. She participates in the teaching of Analytical Chemistry Practice Courses 1 and 2 at the Undergraduate Study in Chemistry and the Chemical Sensors course at the Graduate Study in Chemistry.
In 2021, she enrolled in the Doctoral study in Chemistry (major: Analytical Chemistry).
Since 2021, she has been a member of the Croatian Chemical Society.
She specializes in vibrational spectroscopy, focusing particularly on research into surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) on gold and silver nanoparticles.
She is the immediate supervisor of two diploma thesis.
