Description:
Establishment of basic chemical concepts about the properties of substances at the macroscopic, particle (atomic-molecular) and symbolic level. Integrating existing and new knowledge into conceptual units.
1.-3. Substances, physical and chemical properties of substances; aggregation states and phase transitions (macroscopic level).
4.-5. Basic chemical laws of combination and stoichiometric concepts, atomic theory and structure of atoms.
6.-8. Types of chemical reactions (ionic and redox reactions), equation of chemical reactions, stoichiometry - different approaches, scope of reaction and relevant reactant.
9. Properties of gases.
10. Basics of thermochemistry, enthalpy change and reaction enthalpy, Hess's law, enthalpy diagram.
11.-14. Quantum theory and electronic structure of atoms, periodic table of elements, law of periodicity and properties of elementary substances.
15. Establishing the basic concepts of the course.

Seminar (stoichiometry) 1.-2. Measurement, size and units, calculus; 3. Atoms and molecules - relative and molar sizes: 4. Showing the composition of substances 1 (ratio, proportions); 5.-6. Elemental analysis; 7.-9. Chemical reaction equation (qualitative and quantitative meaning, stoichiometry, relevant reactant and reaction scope); 10.-11. Redox reactions (ion-charge method and oxidation number method); 12. Gas laws, equation of state of an ideal gas; 13. Thermochemistry - basic terms; 14.-15. Expression of the composition of substances 2 (solution, concentration, molality, preparation of a solution of the given composition, dilution of the solution).
